The Home Farmer open farm afternoon

September 21 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Home Farm, Thoralby Road
Aysgarth, DL8 3AG
+ Google Map

The Spence family have been dairy farming at Home Farm since 1953 but have only recently ventured into selling their produce direct to consumers. Earlier this year they began selling farm fresh unhomogenised milk from their milk vending machine, which lives inside a converted horse box. In June 2019 they began producing their own farmhouse cheese.

On the day there will be regular short guided tours of the farm where you’ll be able to meet the cows behind the delicious milk and see the milking parlour and cheese processing room. You’ll also be able to get some farm fresh milk from the vending machine and there will be samples of our first few batches of cheese to try.

In the morning there will be a self guided walk around Aysgarth, organised by The Home Farmer and Colman’s Campsite. It will start from the Aysgarth Falls visitor centre and end at the farm. A route map will be available from the Aysgarth Falls visitor centre or on our website.
