Art Class Series: Mark-Making I with Christopher MossThe Space | Anvil Square | DL11 6TD
May 21 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00pm on Monday, repeating until 21-05-2018
Christopher Moss will be teaching techniques in a wide range of two-dimensional media, including drawing, painting and printmaking, and insights into art history relevant to the techniques being learned.
Students who are already fairly confident may prefer to receive support and technical guidance to progress further and develop their skills in their chosen media, working on their own individual projects.
The course will start with observational drawing; all students should bring an A2 or A3 sketchbook, sketching pencils (one each of 2B, 4B and 6B) and an eraser.
More advice on materials to bring will be provided as the course progresses.
This series will be held every Monday for 5 weeks from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting Monday 23rd, April 2018.
5 sessions for £60, paid in full on or before the first session (cash or cheque, made out to Christopher Moss). No drop-ins.
For a place on the course, or for enquiries, email Christopher on email@example.com or text 07434 427773.
Christopher Moss is a professional fine artist trained trained at Bath Academy of Art (1985-1988) and has his studio in the Yorkshire Dales. He works in diverse media, including silkscreen, woodcut, pen and ink, egg tempera and oils. Christian iconography and the design of early books are crucial influences on his style. Christopher’s current work explores palimpsest – the intriguing way layers of the past can overlap, revealing and concealing in equal measure.
