BROADRAKE – Blacksmith for a DayBroadrake | Chapel-le-Dale Ingleton | LA6 3AX

Spend a day as a Blacksmith, with Adrian Wood at Broadrake. 4 mobile burners and 6 anvils are shared between 8 students so everyone can work together. You will need to wear layers of old clothing (not fleece) and sensible shoes (not plastic). Safety glasses and a fireproof apron are provided. Basic blacksmithing skills will be taught to create a selection of items from key rings, curved hooks, toasting forks, pokers and dragon hooks.
All materials and refreshments and a good lunch are included in the £100 price.
Broadrake is set in a stunning landscape in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with views of Ingleborough, Whernside and Ribblehead Viaduct, and you might be lucky enough to see a steam train pass over the viaduct!
