Conference of the Birds
August 21 @ 8:00 am - August 26 @ 5:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 8:00am, repeating until 26-08-2019
Are you constantly playing catch up with yourself? Do you crave time in the wild to gather your thoughts? Do you need time to think, reflect and be you?
Conference of the Birds is a retreat for you to recharge body, mind and soul. The experience blends rustic charm with serious wellness. Nestled amongst the limestone crags and hills of the rural Yorkshire Dales, Lower Winskill Farm is our secluded hideaway from the world. This is a digital detox, no phones, no distractions.
Two experienced facilitators will guide you on your journey using a 12th century ancient text Conference of the Birds as a metaphor for life. This historic text poses the question ‘what will you find when you finally stop searching’? In exploring this story of hope, longing and enlightenment you will stray from the familiar and enhance your personal search for truth.
When you leave the retreat you’ll have created an individual blueprint for your development and will have new tools for deeper introspection. You’ll leave nourished, joyful and with a greater sense of direction on your own spiritual quest.
While here you’ll stay active with Chi Kung stick exercises and walks in the wilderness. Feast on vegan meals. Find calm in the bell tent with mindfulness meditation. Come together in the evenings as we share stories around the campfire under a blanket of stars.
This retreat offers you the chance to:
- Develop a mindful approach to everyday life
- Explore your personal life path
- Gain clarity on where you want to go in life
- Enjoy time out in a remote location with like-minded people
