Hawes Rural Heritage

Dales Countryside Museum | Station Yard Hawes | DL8 3NT

Join us for this 5.5 mile (8.8km) walk in Herriot country, through fields and along old bridleways with stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales. We will look for evidence of old industries and traditional rural activities as we walk, including local hamlets, villages, barns and lime kilns.

A level 3 YDNPA walk; the route includes steps, stiles, uneven ground and slight gradients.

Please wear outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy footwear with good grips. Packed lunch required.

Dogs not allowed. (Assistance dogs welcome)

Places limited, booking advisable from Hawes National Park Centre.
