Settle’s Hinterland – a Waterfall, an Erratic and a Cave

A 6.5 mile (9.5 km) walk exploring the high ground above Settle and Langcliffe. Hear about Langcliffe’s violent past. Visit Catrigg Force and Samson’s Toe and learn about the forces which have shaped the landscape. The walk includes Winskill Stones Nature Reserve and Victoria Cave, where once our ancestors lived.

A level 4 YDNPA walk; the route includes steps, stiles, uneven ground and steep gradients across open countryside. Please wear outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy footwear with good grips, walking boots are recommended.

Please bring a packed lunch.

Dogs not allowed. (Assistance dogs welcome)

Places limited, booking advisable from Malham National Park Centre.
