Leaping Salmon and the Industrial past of RibblesdaleStainforth YDNP car park | | BD24 9PF
13-10-2019 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
A 4 mile (6.4km) walk along the River Ribble to explore the legacy of the industries which depended on the river in the past. We will visit the Craven Limeworks and Langcliffe, a quiet village with a surprisingly violent past. The walk includes a visit to Stainforth Force where, with luck, we will see salmon leaping up the waterfall.
A moderate relatively flat walk along riverside paths. There are some stiles on the way. Conditions underfoot are mostly good. YDNPA level 3 walk.
Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear with good grips and bring a drink.
