Victorian Skipton – free guided walk

Skipton | Skipton High Street | BD23 1FD

January 20 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

A free guided walk around Skipton to discover the mills, churches, pubs and transport so essential to the daily lives of the town’s working people in Victorian times. Ends about 12.30 p.m. – why not stay on after taking lunch in one of Skipton’s fine pubs or cafes and join the afternoon talk by David Joy on Dales Rails? see next event entry.

10.30 a.m. Meet at Fred Trueman Statue, Canal Basin, Coach Street P&D car park, BD23 1LE (public toilets). 10 minutes walk from Bus/Rail Station.

Walk about three miles, mainly on pavements and towpaths but expect some puddles, so come dressed in warm waterproof clothing and boots or wellies.

Regret no dogs except RAD.
