Experience the story of Stonebeck Raw Wensleydale Cheese during this free guided walk and tour of Andrew and Sally Hattan’s remote upland farm at the top of Nidderdale. Taking inspiration from their farm’s heritage, Andrew and Sally have developed a raw milk farmhouse cheese using milk from their herd of Northern Dairy Shorthorn cows, a rare breed native to the Yorkshire Dales. Our very own Dales Countryside Museum is hosting ‘The Final Bite’ as part of the Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival; it is a mini hub event celebrating local produce and has a farmers’ market style this year. This event, showcasing small, local businesses, will run from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 22 September 2019.
