PuppetCraft workshop & performance

10.00 - A fun workshop for children aged 6 years and over. Everyone will make their own animated picture from discarded materials and take it home to hang on a wall. Participants will also learn to perform in a junk instrument orchestra which plays an important part at the start of the performance which follows. We're delighted to welcome back one of Scotland's most admired fiddle players and composers, performing music from his latest album, Sandwood, which draws its inspiration from a single location in Sutherland, the furthest northwest part of mainland Scotland. Steve Turner is known as a pioneer of highly sophisticated English concertina song accompaniments, stretching the boundaries of traditional forms, with one of the best voices in the business. Family Fireworks and Bonfire

The village bonfire and fireworks display is held on the village green. The judging of the guys begins at 6pm, with the bonfire being lit at 6.30. The fireworks display begins at 7pm and a barbecue is available throughout the evening. Admission is free and a collection is taken.
